Triple Bock is complex, elegant, and has the depth and complexity of a fine cognac, vintage port or an old sherry. Non-carbonated, ruby-black, and very special, Triple Bock should be sipped from a small snifter in a two-ounce serving.

This is a beer to savor, and sip slowly. Triple Bock has a brandy-like warmth and a complex melange of fruity, woody, and toffee-like flavors. Let the aroma fill your mouth and nose with rich malt and fruit overtones. Savor and appreciate its enormous character.

Serve Triple Bock as you would a fine sherry, at room temperature, in a small snifter. One bottle generously serves two or three. Recork and store standing up. Once poured into a small glass, the layers of aroma and flavor will continue to evolve as the deep ruby brew warms in the hand. There have been only three vintages produced: 1994, 1995 and 1997.

29.03.2019, 0,25l bottle (1997 vintage) @ Man in the Moon:
No head. Aroma is slightly sweet and dry boozy, cocoa, dried dark fruits, oak, dark sugar, burnt caramel, toast, raisins, soil, fruit stones, bark, mocha, coffee liquor, booze, toffee. Taste is sweet sour-ish fruity, raisins, fruit stones, citrus, dried sour dark fruits, oak, cocoa, grass, bark, burnt caramel, coffee liquor, old rope, soil, butterscotch, mocha, toffee, dark sugar, hints of licorice. Medium bitterness, sweet sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Just lovely, and even a little bit better than 4 years ago. Wish they had continued making this...

02.04.2015, 0,25l bottle (listed as 1995 vintage, but no year @ bottle) @ Akkurat Bar & Restaurant:
9-4-9-5-18=4,5
No head. Aroma is slightly sweet boozy, with lots of notes from a good madeira wine, dark sugar, toffee, raisins, oak, booze, thinner, burnt caramel, dark candi sugar, chocolate, bark. Taste is very concentrated, burnt candi sugar, raisins, oak, bark, cocoa, booze, toffee, burnt caramel, citrus, dark sugar, raw licorice, grass, hints of thinner. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry and syrupy mouthfeel. Wow, what a lovely treat! Too bad they stopped making this one, even though I doubt it was even drinkable when it was fresh brewed...

From May 2008

his just showed up again in Casper after many years.

Pours a thick black with no head and no lacing.

The smell has notes of dark fruit, maple syrup, caramel malt, and a strong presence of alcohol. Overall, very sweet.

The taste reminds me of a Port. Sweet caramel and dark fruit followed by some wood notes and maple syrup. Also a bit of chocolate. Very sweet to my palate. I liked it when it first came out and what do you know...I still like it. It's definitely not something I'd want to drink every day and the alcohol is there in abundance but it's a good sipper and it's tasty. I give it a moderate thumbs up.

From old tasting notes. Cobalt blue bottle. Translucent deep brown color.mno head. Interesting aromatic complex malt aroma. Hints of molasses, plums and port wine. Intensely sweet, complex malty flavor has notes of burnt caramel, plum wine and licorice. Big bold mouthfeel. Areal Jeckyl and Hyde here. This is a subtle brew that knocks you on your ass when you’re not paying attention.

Small blue bottle, poured, and filtered to remove the cork. Vintage 1995, courtesy of Scrizzz. Damn! Thanks Clint! Thick pour. Sauce thick. Jet black. Huge, intense sweet raisin aroma, and booze, noticed from halfway across the table. Raisin theme continues in the flavor, with an intense licorice and bran rounds up to the boozy finish. Huge beer here. First experience with this beer, so I have no comparison notes. What an experience this one was. Fun for sure, but about a 3 oz sample was more than enough.

Thank you Mathieu87 & PriorL! 250 ml. bottle sampled @ “Epic beer Tasting 2016”. 1997 Vintage. Pours black with zero head. Nose is very thick soy sauce, Teriyaki sauce & even more sauce, alcoholic going to varnish & model glue,… Crazily heavy on the soy sauce. Taste is very heavy soy sauce leading into really extreme sweetness, similar to Sirop de Liège but even sweeter, sweetness on this is beyond all bounds, I didn’t realize that anything can even be this sweet, cloying beyond all possibilities, dark prune syrup, alcohol is largely obscured. Taste is not necessary bad but it is cloying to the point of being completely & utterly undrinkable for me. Low umami notes, insanely thick syrup. I cannot stomach this. It exceeds all known sweetness for me & goes even futher.
