What a fun blonde beer this is. The nose is deliciously malty. The overall flavour is fruity, with hints of sweetness and a warm alcohol glow, which tapers off into a slightly bitter finish. We launched this classic beer in 1983, making it our oldest high-fermentation beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle.

Pours a relatively clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma of malts, grains, some slight herbal hops. I find this beer a bit one-dimensional, I expect more from my Belgian Strong Ale.

Bottle from HoTM. It poy crystal clear yellow - blonde with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, soft, doughy white bread, brioche, rich tea biscuit, touch of paper, leafy, cabbage and green veg. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, grassy, straw, nip of raw alcohol, soapy florals, dull pear, melon, light candy and a touch of boiled sweets with a drying, floral finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fair and drinkable, but forgettable.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 02.09.2024, at One Pint Pub, 20230505) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, metal, Belgian style yeast and honey. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, Belgian style yeast, metal, honey, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, grassy and bitter. A decent sweetish brew with weird notes of metal.

Opalescent pale yellow colour, moderate sized dense white head; aroma of grape peel, white wine, camomille and some earthy notes; taste has the same notes with quite intensive alcoholic and some peppery spiciness; really good one; many thanks for sharing, kapusil

0.33l bottle. Hazy golden body with a lasting white head. Aroma of hay, chamomille, lemon zest with some vinous notes. Taste of hay, honey, nutmeg, black peppercorn, chamomille and some floral hops. The alcohol is a bit too much considering it's only 7.5% ABV. Correct though.
