Tap. Pours reddish brown. Cherry berry, raspberry, cranberry. Sparkly, quite sweet. A tad too sweet, therefore quite heavy. Still a nice sour note. Not sticky. Like it.

Bottle - Pours a clear reddish colour with a tiny pink head that quickly disappeared. Aroma is fruity and sweet light balsamic vinegar, raspberries and cherries. A fruity taste, tart raspberry and cherry, vinegary and woody flavours with a drying sourness to finish.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (33A: oak / 29A: cherries, raspberries and cranberries / 23B). Bottle 75 cl - Batch not declared from 2016 (BBF 10/05/2020). AROMA: complex aroma with medium-high notes of red fruits (cherries, slight raspberries and cranberries), low woody vanilla, medium clean sour notes giving some citrus hints. low neutral sweetness from malt in the background. APPEARANCE: reddish amber and clear. medium-low pinkish-beige heah with low retention. TASTE: initial winy like impression, with medium-high fruitness (raspberries, slight cherries), followed by faint wood and medium-high clean sourness. medium-low to low bitterness with sourness providing some balance. very faint sweetness from malt. finishes dry and slightly sour. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low boy with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an intense fruity Red Ale where the added fruit seems to overpower a base beer which already has a lot of fruitness. Excelent, nonetheless.

Pulled a bottle from the back of the cellar at Xmas Eve. Pours a clear deep dark red colour and a pinkish head with little retention. Aroma's of cherries & berries, almonds, sweet, sour, a bit woody. Retronasal the sweetness is more upfront. Flavour is sweet & sour, fruity. Long finish. No oxidization, it might as well have been a 2019 bottle. Really enjoyable.

Hazy red brownish with white pinkish head. Aroma is raspberry balsamico oak barrel a little red wine a little leathery funk. Taste is sour fruity raspberry and balsamico. Sweet fruit and balsamico as well with some deep complex wooden notes. Also a little whipped cream or yoghurt. Very drinkable and soothing. A tiny sour burn while swallowing that is immediately overpowered by the pleasant balsamico notes. Quite fine. Very good.
