Bottle from Kool Kegs. Lo-ball back at the hotel just before checkout. Clear, half-fizzy, cherry cola sort of color that's basically maroon on brown. Sweet n sour, vinous currant & boxed apple juice nose. Bittersweet currant, lemon tart, acidic apple core, long tannic earthy finish, with some brightness right at the end. Way better than I thought it would be.

Sample at Old Stove. Clear ruby-purple color with a thin pinkish-white head that evaporates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lace. Apple, spice and currants in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of apple, blackcurrant and spice. The finish is fruity with an apple and currant aftertaste. Above average overall.

On tap at Skep & Skein, pours an opaque dark purple-ish pink with no head. Aroma brings out black currant, dry apples and champagne. Flavour is very complex, with black currant and apples duking it out, along with champagne yeast and some funk. Really well-balanced and elegant. Excellent.

[3/1/15] Draught at The Beer Junction in Seattle. Lovely dark red-purple color with a pink head. Aroma is kinda milky, vinous, with some currants. Nice sourish and slightly sweet flavor with apples, wine, lots of currants and a milky note. Pretty nice.

Bottle pour. Pours a deep purple with a sour red grape aroma. Didn’t intend on getting this, but I am extremely impressed. A lot of sour fruit flavors all around with a long sour grape juice finish. This is a sour cider that I feel stands out from a lot of the rest. Very well done. UPDATE: Draft pour at 9Y. Even more impressed the second time around. Ideal tart cider here.
