On tap at Boise location. Almost black pour, with thick, creamy head, coats the glass. Aroma is more citrus than roast grains. Taste follows, very citrus, but with hop bite.

On tap at 10 Barrel, pours a deep dark brown / black with a medium tan head. Aroma is super dry, with roasted malt, dry hoppy bitterness and a biscuity quality. Flavour is along the same lines, with a hoppy astringency, light roast and biscuity metallic notes. Well-balanced and quite flavourful for the ABV. Very good.

On tap at Boise pub. Pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is roast malts and a heavy hop mix pine and citrus. Taste is more of the nice roast malts and hop combo.

Made in Oregon provided the bomber. Pours very dark brown with a fizzy tan head. Aroma is very pine over a little dark malt. Med body. Flavor is pine! Hint of chocolate. Finishes less than dry, and pretty tasty.

Draft - Pine and grapefruit with light roast. Jet black with a decent light brown head. Sweet piney note and some light roast with a nice bitterness. Nice.

On tap in Bend. Pours a black color with a medium tan head. A big roast and pine nose. Lovely flavor: heavy roast, chocolates, resin, pine, citrus. Very flavorful. Light and drinkable. Big winner here. Soft and easy but very flavorful and robust.

10 Barrel Easy Black: Bottle: Dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Subdued aroma of roast and citrus hops. Good roast level and hoppy presence, mostly citrus. A little bit of chocolate malt. Lacks the real piney hop punch that I crave in the PNW versions… if sessionable is what they were going for, this is right on par.

On Tap at the Boise BP Very dark brown. Clear with deep red edges. Modest but persistent tan head. Thick sheeting lacing. Soft dark malty aroma. Nutty and chocolate light roasted flavors. Way low on the hops and the IBU to call itself a BIPA, me thinks. I seriously doubt the claimed 56 IBU. Pleasant enought just misnamed.
