330 ml bottle. Golden body with a fine, creamy white head. Delicious aroma of citric fruit, mainly grapefruit and some pine. Flavor has lots of citric fruit on a balanced malt base with light caramel. Nice bitterness, feels perfectly balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Long and pleasant bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark golden body and a small, dense, off-white head. There’s a nice maltyness in the aroma, some herbal hints, and a good dash of citrus peel and pinecones. Peach notes and pine cones in the flavor, a good dash of bitterness too. Nice sweetness to balance it as well. Lasting finish with a good bitterness. A pleasant one indeed. 110524

Tap at Bishops Arks in Sundsvall. All the usual American hop trappings some rural notes. Murky orange, low creamy. Light peachy, creamy mouthfeel. Citric finish. Bit weak.

Bottle. An IPA on the sweeter side. Lots of tropical fruit notes. The bad thing about it is the rather strange yeast character.

Biggish offwhite head. Amber body with strong carbonation. Strong floral grapefruit aroma with tropical fruit, wood, and caramel notes. Dry-sweet-bitter tropical fruit and wood taste with roasty resiny notes. Some astringency as well. Mid-bodied. Dry fruity sugary floral aftertaste with citric papery notes. Excellent! Sharp, clear and highly sippable. (0.5l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)

(Bottle) Hazy amber colour with frothy, beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity nose with notes of treacle toffee, orange peel, lyché, mango, earthy/rubbery hops and hints of chocolate. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, orange peel, lyché, mango, spicy hints of rye bread, caramel, a touch of chocolate and treacle toffee. Generous citric, piney bitterness in the finish. A solid malt foundation gives it more than medium body and some sweetness. Surprisingly well balanced considering the fairly high level of both alcohol and bitterness. Very nice and hoppy IPA.

50 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Small, white head and clear, golden appearance. Smells of citrus, grapefruit, pine, resin and a small sweet malty backbone. Expected from a beer this hoppy with north am inspiration. Taste is bitter overall with some sweetness. Something acidic is a bit bothering, shouldn’t be in this beer. Light to medium bodied with some carbonation. Ok IIPA, but not really worth the price. 7/3/6/3/15 Re-rating 20110913. Was brewed at Sigtuna last time I rated it, nowadays at Slottskällan. Clear, amber liquid with thick, medium off-white head. Some lacing. Aroma is hoppy with notes of grapefruit, grass, floral hops, pine, spruce needles, tropical fruit, mango and some caramely and biscuity malt. Taste is dry, heavily bitter and light sweet. Lots of hoppy, resiny notes and some malt as well. The weird Mohawk house taste that bothered me earlier is gone. Quite refreshing. Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation. Perfect mouthfeel for a AIPA. This is better than the old one. The beer looks better, smells as good, tastes cleaner and has a better level of carbonation. This makes this beer a good IIPA instead of a OK one. 7/4/7/4/16

Bottled 500ml. -Honeyish golden/amber coloured, small off-white head, intensive hoppy nose. Moderate malty, strong grapefruity and spicy hoppy with discreet notes of caramel. Lingering bitter finish. Another great double IPA.
