Vicaris Tripel/Gueuze is the perfect thirst-quencher for hot summer days. For this beer, brewery Dilewyns works together with a renowned gueuze brewer from the Zenne valley.

The complex interaction between Vicaris Triple and gueuze makes this beer unique. The sharp sourness of the spontaneously fermented lambiek beautifully counters the fruity and soft Vicaris Triple. The result is a rich beer with a fresh mild acidity and a soft finish.

Vicaris Triple/Gueuze is only available from May to September (subject to availability).

Golden colour with thin soapy head. It’s a blend of Tripel and Gueuze and that’s exactly how it tastes. The sweeter malt and alcohol notes of the Tripel take the edge off the sourness making it both easy to drink and refreshing.

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange colour, lots of creamy white foam. Nose is funky, barnyard, citrussy. Light tripel sweetness comes in. Very refreshing. Tart, light sweet, light bitter. Very very good!

Clear, yellow-orange colored, strong frothy white head. Aroma is of some malt, bit caramel, fruity tart, light funk, yeasty. Taste is medium sweet malt, light caramel, fruity, bit grape, moderate- tartness, light funk, medium- bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, oily. Prefer the standard Tripel. Bottle @ T Buitenbeentje, Tilburg, shared with Ferris. Clear golden color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste are in between a faro and a geuze, light green applepeel notes, a hint of tart up front, underlying sweet notes which are dominated by slightly fizzy carbonation which leaves yu with a light tart-bitter grapepeel hint. Weird but interesting.

Bottle - Light apple funk. Clear gold with with a decent white head. Nice sweetness and a touch of funk with a light finish. An odd combination that works ok.

Cloudy orange golden color with a fine white head. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation level. Pleasant balance between sweetness and acidity. Some spices, yeast, fruity and some citric notes in the flavor. Refreshing, tasty and fine beer.

From 33cl bottle. Pours hazy blonde with limited white foam. Aroma reminds of apple, and of course with the typical aroma of sour beer. Body is medium, with good carbonation and some astringency. Taste has some sweetness, and a good level of acidity. No relevant bitterness, maybe just a bit. Finish is short and clean.
