Vicaris Tripel/Gueuze is the perfect thirst-quencher for hot summer days. For this beer, brewery Dilewyns works together with a renowned gueuze brewer from the Zenne valley.

The complex interaction between Vicaris Triple and gueuze makes this beer unique. The sharp sourness of the spontaneously fermented lambiek beautifully counters the fruity and soft Vicaris Triple. The result is a rich beer with a fresh mild acidity and a soft finish.

Vicaris Triple/Gueuze is only available from May to September (subject to availability).

Strange mix of a tripel and a gueuze. Results in a sour lambic-like beer, with some more yeast than usual and some extra fruit. I like the styles better seperately, but I appreciate the experiments.

Bottle shared at chriso’s. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy white head. The nose has dank wood, basement, old citrua, grass. Medium sweet flavor with more grass, some sugary candies, melon, tangerine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Tangy finish with more tart lemon, dry candies, some lemon rind. Pretty nice.

Bottled@HBF2014 (thanks for the sampler to VastActiv). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is sour wood, some quite sweet mash like notes along with a bit of spices and honey. Flavour is honey, some floral notes as well as a nice wooden sourness and tartness. Nice sweetish sour "blend of brews".

Had this at the DC annual sour tasting but thought it was the ordinary tripel at first. Some light bretta, pale pour. Bottle.
