Aroma of pale malt, wheat, citrus, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a medium bitter finish. Nicely hoppy and very refreshing ale.

Hazy orange in colour, with a little bit of head that gives way to a sticky lacing. Smells like lemon zest, or grapefruit, hay and something funky like a saison or lambic yeast. The taste is bitter, more medicinal than hoppy, with notes of lemon zest and juniper berries . A nicely refreshing drink, good for a hot afternoon.

Dutch novelty Pilsener, with loose, irregular, lightly lacing, snow white head and warm golden colour, lightly hazy. Aroma of garden weeds, freshly cut grass, breakfast cereals, white bread dough, hint of green olive. Vaguely sweetish onset, some yeast fruitiness but very restrained with a touch of dried apricot, minerally accent, smooth lightly bready malt profile, sweetish and a bit thin as expected from the style but nowhere metallic or ’corny’, medium long grassy and floral hop bitterness in the finish. The yeast obviously provides more flavour than usual for the style and the hops are generous enough to make this one of the more interesting Dutch pale lagers I have tasted so far.

Cask at GBBF ’15, day 3, 13/08/15. Pale golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is grassy, pale malt, cereal, faint citric peel. Taste comprises light herbal notes, pretty bland, grain, lemon rind, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Pretty dull stuff.

Keg at GBBF 2015. It pours clear pale gold with a small, fizzy white head. The nose is toasty, grainy, wet paper, rice cake and stone fruits. The taste is crisp, bit, creamy, minerals, grainy, cheap white bread, earthy, light sulphur, toasty cereal with a short, dry finish. Light - medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Pretty basic stuff.. musty.

Cloudy pale amber colour, a lot of bubbles, large frothy off-white head, diminishes gradually, light lacing. Strong citrus aroma, yeast, dusty, herbal notes. First sip quite sharp, taste light sweet, medium bitter, citrusy, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste dry bitter, medicinal and herbal notes, nice one.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, light citrus acid. The flavour light bitter, light acid sour with a yeast, crisp acidic, zesty citrus, dry light aspirin palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap, unfiltered and using Hellertau Perle hops. Hazy pale orange appearance. Fresh aroma. A well rounded and lasting bitterness. Good thirst quencher.
