Rogue Whiskey Barrel-Aged Caramel Porter is an Imperial style porter brewed with lots of caramel malt to balance out the traditional roasted and coffee malts. It is then aged in Rogue (recently named "Distillery of the Year") Oregon Single Malt Whiskey barrels for more than 3 months to bring out vibrant vanilla, oak and whiskey aromas and flavors. All together, it is a flawless marriage of caramel, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, and smokey rich whiskey.

[2/13/15] Draught at Rogue Ales Public House in San Francisco. Black with a beige head. Aroma of roast, caramel, licorice. Sweet flavor, caramelly, with coffee, an acidic touch and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Draft - Light roast and chocolate. Jet bleep brown with a rich light brown head. Lots of toast and chocolate, vanilla and a touch of coffee. I think the caramel is a bit burried.
