Tap at 6th Noord-Holland Bierfestival, Alkmaar: Hazy golden coloured brew with an sweet fruity taste and some slightly hints of chocolate. Like an Duvel-light version.

Bottle at home, from Hema. Clear golden with white head. Sweet malts, little roasted caramel malts, some faint bubblegum/chemical sweetness, and a little dusty cardboard. Medium sweet and light bitter. Under medium body. Below average carbonation. Very one dimensional sweetened lager.

Bottle from a Deen supermarket. Medium thick, egg-white, moussy head consisting of tiny bubbles and slowly dissolving in the middle, over a hazy peach blonde beer with ochre hue. Rustic aroma of unripe gooseberry, wet paper, grapefruit peel, green banana, apple peel, freshly cut nettles, peach, strawberry, honey, dry earth, white grape peel, dust, old straw, dried flowers. Fruity onset, peach, redcurrant, pink grapefruit accent, sweetish and sourish, quite refreshing actually with a hint of dried orange peel, medium carbo adding a certain additional sourishness, smooth and lightly oily mouthfeel, pleasant honeyish and bready malt sweetishness with a caramelly edge under spicy phenols, leading to a drying finish of floral, earthy, spicy ’noble’ hop bitterness which is well matched with the persisting bready maltiness; this earthy bitterness is of medium duration and does leave a mild peppery flavour in the back of the mouth. Quite stereotypical Belgian blonde style beer tilted towards ’bitter blonde’; shows good balance of sweet, sour and bitter, too phenolic perhaps. Could have been worse.

Bottle split with 77ships post Van Moll fest.

330 ml. bottle sample @ train-ride post Oersoep / Van Moll Festival week-end with Sebletitje. Cheers! Purchased @ Hema. Golden, solid creamy white head. Nose is cooked cabbage, esters, sugar, corn,… Taste is cooked cabbage, corn, super oily, vegetable, insect killer,… Very oily. Pretty awful.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a murky straw colour with little life. The aroma is light citrus, light yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light yeast, zesty citrus hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
