There is a long story to this malty ale. It was first brewed in the spring 2006 in Nørrebro Bryghus in Copenhagen, Denmark, as a joint brew between Nøgne Ø and Nørrebro. Nørrebro calls their version “Double Knot Brown”.

We had a pleasant experience with this beer, generous notes of malt, yeast, notes of plum, figs and apricot, perfect for the season, 20.12.2017, tasting it at Lausanne, Prélaz.

Aroma of light roasted malt, caramel, coffee, raisins, fruits, hint of chocolate, hops. Flavour is medium sweet with a medium bitter finish. Very tasty Imperial Brown Ale.

Аромат немного спертый но приятный, в меру сладкий, немного специй. Цвет красно коричневый, глубокий. Потрясающая кремовая мелкопузырчатая пена. Тело на удивление среднее, питкое, почти полностью отсутствует карбонизация. Вкус карамельный, немного шоколадный, также присутствуют специи, намек на темные фрукты. В послевкусие появляется горчинка, но быстро отдает свое место хмелю.

500ml bottle. Pours a medium brown with a off white head. Aromas & tastes of coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, bread, wood & roasted malt. Medium body. Light bitter finish. Highly enjoyable

Dark brown, tall tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, nuts. Taste is a little sweet, caramel, hazelnut, citrus, pine.

8-4-7-4-15 Bottle, #2621, three months after bottling. Pours translucent mahogany, with a big creamy off white head. Aroma is malty notes of caramel, nuts and dark fruits, as well as notes of coffee and heather Medium body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is slightly burned malty notes with caramels, herbal notes and dark fruits, as well as coffee and wooden notes.

Unfortunately the bottle is oxidized as hell. Tough for a 8€ bottle inside norway. Just comes across stale as hell. Oughta try again i guess. Even though it is only a few months old. Vinomonopolet middle of norway

Smell of caramel malt. Hazy brown colour, beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, ash in finish. Sweet, lightly bitter. Soft carbon. Very good.
