Bottle.Black colour with small beige head aroma is sweet with hint of tobacco and caramel feels a bit dusty but ok for a beer from 2011.

Bottle thanks to Phillip! 2012 vintage. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aromas of mould, dust, sweet dark fruits, tar, vanilla, malt. Taste has chocolate, malt, tar, dust, mould, roast, coffee, licorice, ash, nutty bitterness. Probably a bit over the top.

Bottled 05/01?/2012. Flat, dead. Glass 1 and 5 were lots of chocolate, sweet, earthy, OKish. Glass 3 was disgusting mildew, completely gone. No cognac left, on average quite bad but not undrinkable. Fun to have tried! Thanks Ronald :)

Nip bottle. Almost black and opague, no head. Cream, dark chocolate and cocos in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with milk chocolate, cream, laurel, licorice. mocha and obstler. Hardly any carbon but delicious. I guess the cognac flavors were too subtle to be noticed in this big beer. (8 3 9 4 17 = 4.1) Tap @ BBF. Black, opague. Lots of dark chocolate, pepper and caramel in the aroma. Sweet creamy flavor with lots of dark chocolate, cacao, soft brandy notes. The cognac is especially noticeable in the long lingering aftertaste

Bottle pours out black topped with a ring of tan head. Nose is nice big roast malts ash chocolate vanilla coconut wood booze. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate ash vanilla coconut fudge black licorice and some barrel booze.

Bottle shared with Pilsnertest at New Years. Pours almost black with beige head. Rich, velvety chocolate, roast, lingering liquorice. Long, oaky candied sugar and vanilla finish. A little warming. Excellent.
