Muddy medium brown. Light smoky taste. The Dunkelweizen character is not much going on. A bit burnt.

Poured from the tap. Cloudy dark brown with beige head. Smoke and mild wheat. Fairly simple.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy brown color, poured with almost no head. Mild aroma of caramel and smoke. Fairly dry, highly carbonated, also served too cold; caramel flavor with spicy yeast and wheat character, some wood, light smoke; the final is bitter, a bit astringent and lightly metallic; lightly sour, a note out of tune.
Not a favorite one of mine; more can be done within this concept.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma reveals light smoke, toasted nuts, and a little banana. Flavour is similar, with light smoke and toasted malt. Well-balanced, but pretty boring. Finishes very dry. Meh.

Draft - Overripe bananas on the nose. Cloudy yellow with a decent white head. Banana and some nice bacony smoke with a lingering light banana finish. It doesn’t sound appealing, but is pretty decent.
