This velvety soft ale has a stubbornly loyal following. Rich dark malts are layered in a seamless manner. Fine tuning with a blend of bittering, aroma, and flavour hops produce an amazingly smooth finish and a lingering taste. This is a full bodied ale with a rich and gentle flavour.

Nice dark brown-ruby body, modest head. Aroma is tin, brown sugar, molasses. Flavour is sweet dark bread, hints of hazelnut nutella but not too strong. Medium mouthfeel, balanced. An okay drinker but does not rise out of the pack.

Bottle - Caramel malts and nutty note. Dark copper with a rich beige head. Light malty notes, caramel and slight nutty notes. A decent beer for sure, but nothing particularly interesting.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Brown color with red shades. Nice aroma of caramelized nuts, maple syrup. Dry mouthfeel, but good flavor of dark caramel, roasted nuts, chestnut honey; correct bitterness; more roasted nuts in the end. Balanced and well brewed.
