37.5cl Bottle from De Molen. Hazy amber orange colour, soapy white head. Aroma of loads of overripe fruits, very cloying, melon, pineapple, pear. Flavour is sweet, malty, alcohol, fruity, earthy, dry bitter hoppy finish with light citrus and some liquorice/drop, rather sharp beer. Medium to fullbodied. I think the hops have vanished from this old bottle. Interesting flavours though.

0.375l bottle @ Olympen, Oslo shared with ClubGonzo. This one is a clouded deep copperish beer with a nice fluffy and lasting off-white head and some heavy dark floaters. Aroma is mild, has tones of fruits, kiwi, not your average or typical DIPA aroma, but it's quite nice. Average carbonation and the mouthfeel is oily to creamy-fizzing. Nice malty flavors blended with a strong and powerful malt-base, tones of grape-zest, lots of lovely hops - but not to hoppy -, peachy-caramel before it finishes in a mouth-drying finish. This is one light drinkable high ABV beer and just really good! The label actually said this was barrel aged for one week, so it's a bit confusing why the description here says its not been barrel aged at all. Anyhow, a fine DIPA.

Bottle. Mild nose, caramel, grassy hop, clean. Deep amber-orange with a high, fine head. Cloudy. Ok bitterness, fruity, caramel. Bitter, but not very big character. Thin and smooth. Easy to see how this was designed as a base beer to age in barrels. Has little character in itself. Couldn’t get any of the barrel aged versions, though.
