Bottle, vintage 2013, courtesy of SinH4, many thanks! Pours deep brown. Aroma is acetone oak barrels, red wine, tree bark, little glue. Body is heavy and strong, yet waaaay too easy to drink. Rich and complex, sour and brown and chewy, oak barrels, red wine again, yet super smooth. Superb beer!

Bottle Shop. Bottle thanks to my son - Sarky. Hazy amber beer, small pale tan head. Light and mildly dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Aged mellow gueuzey vibe. Light wood. Slighty acid dried fruits. Light finish. Mild spicy finish. Interesting.

Kulminator on the Borefts 1 trip. 2008 Vintage. Cloudy brown beer, good cream coloured head. Sour caramel. Minerally marmite. Creamy and tangy. Bitterish aftertaste.
A 2006 bottle smelled dusty and tasted dusty. Poor.

2005 Vintage. Clear deep red - amber beer, good tan head. Nice of strong oxidisation and rubber. Smooth palate, semi dry and with decent fine carbonation. Fairly tart dark fruits with a little red berries buried underneath. Molasses. Prunes and cranberry mingle with a salty bitterness. No rubber in there from the nose but some oxidised tangy caramel is. Plenty going on but it is pretty challenging to drink, too much so really. 3.2

2006 Vintage. Light haze on this deep orange - amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Tart fruits over a touch of toffee. Ripe lemon and orange and a trace of cherry. Caramel in the background as is a little pine. Finishes with a light savoury bitterness. Much more approachable than the 2005.
