Really nice copper color with a small white head. Big aromas of lavender and ginger with some grassy spice. Sweet malts, no rosemary or thyme that i can detect. Next to no bitterness with a sweet, malty, ginger finish. Reminds me alot of ginger ale with lavender.

Hazy dull tan, no head. Lots of rosemary, sage, basically this is spaghetti sauce. Decent gruit, bit sticky/plasticy but at least it’s fun.Â

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with lavender, thyme and rosemary upfront, with light earthiness. Flavour expresses the herbs quite nicely, with a blend of all three aforementioned herbs, without that dirty earthiness common to many gruits. Lightly sweet finish and easy to drink. One of the better gruits in my books.

At the brewery. Gold color with a parsley and sage aroma like pasta sauce then the sweet lavender kicks in. The taste is really interesting with soft sweet lavender then sage and parsley, a real mind bender.

Sampled at the 2014 Winterbrewed Craft Beer Festival on Valentines’ Day. Poured a hazy golden colour with a white cap, slightly creamy. Lemon sour nose with lavender and hints of mint. At least the taste is not sour (well, at least too much) with the citrus and spices. Wet mouthfeel. Quite interesting overall.

Beau’s is really starting to bring this gruit style together now. After a few of these they are starting to become interesting rather than gimmicky. Nice grain taste here. Smell is huge, with evident thyme and lavender. Pours cloudy orange with ok head and lacing, soft carbonation. Tap at Winterbrewed.
