Top fermented beer which is subjected to a secondary fermentation in bottle. It is deep dark ebony in color with a cappuccino head. The nose has aromas of chocolate, licorice, coffee grounds and tobacco with alcohol nuances. Its full bodied, long lasting, smooth and dry mouth is followed by a surprisingly hot finish that breaks its initial fullness and makes you crave more!

Sampled from bottle at brewmakers dinner, Kick. Pitch black body with a disappearing tan head. Nice aroma of medium roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee and notes of wood. Flavor is smooth, soft roasted dark malt, coffee, chocolate, mild wood and moderate but balanced fruity bitterness. Fine balanced body and nice aftertaste. A smooth and solid Imperial Stout without any sharp edges. Slightly warning but not really alcoholic.

Bottle at SBWF. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of slightly roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Sweetish flavor that ends up slightly more dry with coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Medium bodied and soft carbonation.

A black beer, a head is fluffy, quite big and brown.Aroma has coffee, some salt liquirice, chocolate, sourness and fruitness. Good and balanced aroma. Taste has strong roastiness, coffee, salt and salt liquirice. Some and nice chilis in the end that’s sharpening the taste. Medium+ bodied, smooth carbonation. Good chili, tasteful.

Dark black-brown color with big beige head. Aroma is espresso, very dry. Taste is espresso, feels a little bit watery, but the chili comes through then, for a nice spicy finish. A bit too light, hard to believe this is Verdi after I?ve had the BA Version. Low carbonation.

Bottle shared at home. Black with short lasting brown head. Massive dark chocolate notes, dry marzipan, old coffee, more dry cocoa, quite some North African spices, light cognac. Medium sweet with almost medium roasted bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Nice chocolate notes here.

Black body, with a small, dense, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of coffee, nuts, chocolate, dark fruits, some spices.
Tastes of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, a bit hot chili, some liquorice.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes roasty, hot, a bit dry, with coffee, chili, dark chocolate.
Tasty. The nose is a bit underwhelming, but the taste is very nice, the chili works really well and leads to a quite hot finish. Not as massive as other Imperial Stouts, but very well balanced.
