What is going on at trafalgar?! Every beer they release pours dead flat!
Aroma is just like a terrys chocolate orage, but the orange is very zesty, strong orange oil. The flavour is alot like semi sweet cola, with lightly bitter hops. Super watery mouth feel and an odd, bitter, zesty sour finish. Jesus, what a mess. Another piss poor trafalgar offering.

This porter poured a deep, dark Amber colour with a almost non existent soapy head. Scents include orange, cocoa and a little citrus. First swig had very low carbonation and was a little watery in the mouthfeel dept. flavours of roasted malts and orange chocolates most prominent. Finish was roasty with a little orange lingering.

Bottle from the brewery. Dark cola coloured pour with a tiny tan head (even after an aggressive pour). The head is quickly gone. The nose is dominated by orange with only the faintest hint of chocolate able to come through. A bit of chocolate bitterness appears in the taste but the orange tartness is still the primary characteristic. Mouth is thin and watery and very soft carbonation and an astringent finish. This reminds me of the effervescent vitamin C tablets I used to get a as a kid but without any of the fizz. Not sure why all of the Trafalgar bottles I try are so flat.

Bottle: Poured a translucid black color porter with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention. Aroma of cheap orange liquor with light dry roasted malt is quite atrocious. Taste is also dominated by gross orange liquor notes with some light dry roasted malt. Body is quite thin with good carbonation. About as bad as I was expecting.

Comes with a nice label that did not scream Trafalgar. Pours a dark brown colour with a small beige head, not much stay, but some decent creamy lace. Oh wow ! Smells like Terry’s Chocolate balls with a balanced of the cocoa and essence of orange. Feels more like real oranges in the taste from the peels. The chocolate is mild and the roasted malt lingers after the finish. Very nice bitterness and dryness overall. I am quite surprised by this brew. Very well-brewed and exactly what I was expecting. And more from a brewery I am not the biggest fan of.

Draft - Biscuity notes and some cocoa. Deep maroon with a decent beige head. Orange and chocolate, more candy like than citrus or liqueur. I couldn’t drink much but not bad.
