The original Cisk Lager Beer is a golden-coloured, bottom-fermented lager with a distinctive and well-balanced character. Its rich hop aroma and pleasant bitterness has made it the natural choice and thirst quencher for beer drinkers who want to savour the original brew which has remained faithful to its recipe of 1929.

Recipient of a number of international awards since its launch in 1929, Cisk Lager Beer is popular any time of the year and consumed across the Maltese Islands, holding a strong presence at Malta’s traditional social band clubs, known as ”kazini”. On a hot summer day, it is best enjoyed chilled by the sea with friends. Just add a barbecue banquet or a selection of fresh shellfish and Cisk will be the perfect companion.

Decent enough lager. But with Farsons around fairly commonly there isn't much point in drinking this unless you have to. Can walking around St. Julians.

Heller, wenig aromatischer Start. Süß-herb bei geringer Intensität, spritzig, monoton. Einfaches und süffiges Lager, das man am Strand gut trinken kann und danach schnell vergisst. 8/7/8/6/7/6

Beers of the World country 92: Malta 🇲🇹

"The beer is light golden in colour with a normal white foam head and a lasting carbonation. It tastes crisp and fresh with a grainy and malty bitterness. A good tasting lager and a huge step up from last week." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

From can. Grainy, some corn, hay. Medium bitterness. Watery texture, lively carbonated in the beginning, light bodied. Quite refreshing when served ice cold, but not very enjoyable aromas.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe, 20 days before best before date. Pours clear yellow with a medium-sized head that lasts for a few seconds. Aroma is grass, malt, slightly metallic. Taste is grain, biscuit, grass, light bitterness. Decent pale lager, probably even better fresh.

Can 0.5l. Definitely like concern beer but quite nice refreshing on the beach especially cool drinking. Completely clear, golden colour with white head and surprise, good lacing. Aroma is a little bit malty but without hops - I cannot feel it. Taste is poor but in hot day beer rescues the life.
