Crystal clear deep amber and copper coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall just off-white head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of pungent figs, prunes, raisins, pit fruits, apricots, malt, earth and a ton of alcohol - very nice throughout and incredibly sweet in the nose here - nice! Medium-bodied; Assertive sweet pit fruit flavours with caramel, apricots, toffee, grain, pure honey, treacle, butter and even a steady dose of flowers around - this is very nice, incredibly complex and super sweet throughout. Aftertaste shows a good malt backbone with some more assertive hops, but this is all about the aging, given that this is easy to keep for several years, this is one worth buying, keeping around and enjoying it many years later. Overall, a very nice beer and despite the fact that I got it across the whole of our country and that I bought it from another country, this beer is great and I wish I could have it for and even 'normal' beer store in Arlington, Virginia. I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle purchased from Viti Wine & Liqour in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 06-June-2015 for CA$5,50 sampled at home in Washington on 26-October-2017 after aging this properly for two+ years, and it turned out great and the time DEFINITELY helped out here!

Sample at Tap House Grill. This brew pours a slightly hazy copper color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of medicinal fruit, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is sweet with a fruity and malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

2016-01-19, bottle from Darby’s Liquor, Vancouver, 6-4-7-3-13=33
Hazy golden color, medium sized head. Mellow brew with tiny Belgian character (usually found in beers with less alcohol), moderate malt depth, a bit fruity, with a mellow oak or vanilla character, and very low bitterness; the alcohol is well concealed; it has a good amount of fruity esters.
A bit unbalanced; soft and sweet; but not bad.

2015-01-04, draught at Collective on Tap, Woodinville, WA; 11.4% ABV, 6-3-7-3-12=31
Hazy golden color with creamy head. The aroma is too mild, the flavor is sweetish, the body is bold and a bit oily, ordinary bitterness, light yeast fruitiness, clear alcohol perception.
Not bad, but confusing.

Hazy dull tan, no head. Plasticy nose, light pale orchard fruit notes, sweet, has an orchard fruit note, but also plastic and alcohol. Reminds me of Gulden Draak, which is to say not my favourite, but drinkable.

22 Oz bottle pour split. Pours a sunny orange color with a holiday spiced up aroma. Medium body with a Belgian yeast and spices fronted flavor. A little brown sugar sweetness as well. Slightly boozy, but I enjoy the flavor overall. Tastes lighter than expectrd, but overall this was a good beer.

355 ml bottle.2014 vintage with 11.5% ABV. Pours a clear copper with light head. Aromas of Christmas cake, light Belgian yeast, light resin, and alcohol. Flavors are similar with emphasis on resin and sugar plus some fruity esters. A lightly spiced Belgian Golden Ale. Okay. 24

Bottle - Sweet stone fruit and orange peel. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet yeasty fruit notes and a long yeasty finish. Nice and typically Belgian.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, spicy notes, apples, and floral notes. Flavour is very fruity, with lighter stone fruits, floral notes, Belgian yeast, and apples. Lightly sweet, well-balanced and certainly on the edge of a tripel and a light quad. Very solid stuff.
