Hop Blanc is a heavenly White IPA. Local wheat and Belgian yeast give this beer a soft mouthfeel, while Centennial, Simcoe and Citra hops provide a bright rush of tropical and citrus flavors up front. This beer is the cherry, angelic cousin of the more sinister Hop Noir.

Many thanks to Finn for the bottle. Stable rocky white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass. Yellow-gold coloured body, slightly hazy. Smell of wheat, pear and ripe lemon. Fruit cocktail flavours including orange, peach and grapefruit spiced with coriander on a backbone of wheat. Drying finish. Soft and clean in the mouth. Peasant (Tromsø 07.03.2015).

Flaske 330ml fra Alko Muonio. Lys gyldengulbrun. Høyt luftig skinnende hvitt skum. Litt lacing. Svakt uklar. Aroma av banan & sitron. Smaken det samme. Økende syrlighet med en tørr avslutning. Litt kunstig helhetsinntrykk. Mer uklar i siste kvelling.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, a bit grainy, some slight floral notes along with some bread as well. Flavour is rather similar. Not your typical IPA, rather it tasted like a strong wellhopped Pils.

Cloudy light tan. Fluffy head. The aroma is yeasty, with some orangey, floral hop character and a dash of spiciness. The taste has light citrus, also providing some sweetness. The yeast is more restrained on the palate, thankfully. The hop brightness is definitely a plus, though the overt yeastiness is still more than would be ideal. Fresh, spicy character. Modest bitterness. Decent brew, but needs to be much less yeasty and let the brightness shine through a bit more.
