(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2018) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, black rye bread and roasted malt. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black rye bread, coffee chocolate and a mild roasty bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty and well balanced. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin off white head and loads of life. It was a real gusher I have to say. The flavour is medium sour with lots of dry yeast and acid on the palate. Not a favourite.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the new Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Naama, Muddy brown with a beige head. Sourish aroma with yeast, some stale chocolate and fruity notes. Sourish flavor with malt, some fruitiness and light roastiness. Light to medium-bodied, over-carbonated. Spoiled.

Bottle, 5.2%. Slow gusher. Yeasty and spicy aroma, sugary, perhaps brown sugar. Dark brown colour, seems clear. Very big tan head, quite stable. The flavour is roasted with a mild coffee note. Low bitterness. Dark bread in the aftertaste. Not as sweet as the aroma suggests.

Bottle @ home. Slight gusher. Very dark brown color, just barely visible red glow. Average off-white head. Smell malts and sweet. Tastes a bit roasted. Thin texture, too much carbo, low body.

Clear brown beer, residual tan head. Clean crispish palate. A light touch of dark malt with a whisper of smoke. Followed by a little creamy malt and a trace of orange fruit and light minerals. Well joined up and easy drinking beer.
