To commemorate an important milestone in Anchor Brewing’s long history, a special ale seemed appropriate. Having found and experimented with a very rare and unusual hop variety called Nelson Sauvin, we knew that its unique character would impart a wonderful flavor and aroma to a pale ale brewed especially for the occasion: Humming Ale.

Draft from waterfront manhattan. Poured gold, tasted more of a blond ale to me. I liked it.

Aroma of light malts, tropical fruits, citrus, honey, a little caramel, light aromatic hops. Flavour is light malty sweetness with a medium bitter finish. Everything about this beer is rather ’light’. It’s an easy-going refreshing APA.

Notes from March 2012 Bottle from New Beer. Thought I put together a tasty Steam/Foghorn sixer, but this one snuck in somehow. Curious, as I've rarely seen this one around town. Thick, pasty, off-white head. Whitewash lace. Dull(but not quite hazy), honey gold body. Smells has a gentle citrus candy thing in front. Mild earthy & pine hops. White bread. Taste has lots of cracker & low-key(though lingering) rindy/pine bitterness. Bit of an aspirin thing to it too. Solvent-like alcohol. Dry, soft carbonation. Very reserved. Not even that refreshing.

Bottle. Blonde, hazy. Grapefruit, lime, oily hops and melon in the aroma. Thinnish. Grapefruit flavor with earthy oily hops. Hints of leather. Nice!!

Botella 33 cl en el Lúpulo Oviedo junio 2010. (r677). No conservada botella. Cuerpo suave. Maltosos ligeramente dulces tostados. Afrutados y florales. Cuerpo ligero fácil de beber. Normal.

355ml bottle. Unclear golden orange color with off white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, caramel, bread, pine, citrusy fruity, grapefruit. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
