12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, bottled on 8/10/2015. Pours fairly crystal clear orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, light herbal/grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance, complexity, and robustness of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Oktoberfest style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft - Light grains. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Light grains and a mellow sweetness. Basic but decent.

On tap in house. Beautiful golden amber appearance with a big white head. Slightly cloudy. Smells of hops and slightly acidic, maybe a touch of brown bread and alcohol? Has a wonderful opening flavor of very sweet malt balanced with a nice bitter alcohol flavor. Dries out somewhat, but this is still a sweeter rendition. Finishes with a creamy almost doughy malt flavor with some extra barley touches. Being brewed only a few weeks ago and fresh on tap helped this immensely. Finishes smooth and does not thin out. Flavor is complex but not terribly lingering. Could use some more depth in the malt; this isnt a dry oktoberfest, but Ive had better.
