Marrón caoba, translucida limpia. Un dedo de espuma de no mucha retención. Aroma a malta tostada, notas de café y madera fresca. En boca es ligera oleosa, con punto de gas. Sabor malteado, frutos secos, alguna nota dulce, caramelo. Muy bebible

Optisch kräftig dunkelbraun und klar mit orangeroten Reflexen. Die nussbraune, feinporige Schaumkrone ist flaumig-stabil und langlebig. In der Nase mischen sich getreidige, brotige, dunkelkaramellige und duftig-röstige Malznoten. Hintergründig macht sich eine zarte, trocken-heuige Hopfennote bemerkbar. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, gut spritzig, leicht süßlich, brotig, dunkelkaramellig und röstig-malzig bis leicht röstig herb. Im Mund präsentiert sich ein Körper mit passender, mäßiger Fülle, frischer Rezenz, geschmeidig-seidiger Textur und leichter Trockenheit. Geschmacklich und aromatisch nimmt man weiterhin die brotigen, dunkelkaramelligen, leicht röstigen bis röstig-herben Noten wahr. Die leicht heuige, trockene Hopfennote schwingt dabei leicht mit. Alles in Allem wirkt dieses Bier absolut stimmig, könnte aber einen Hauch weniger süß und in seiner Röstigkeit, Herbe und Trockenheit vielleicht etwas prägnanter sein. So würde ich es irgendwo zwischen Bayerisch Dunkel und Schwarzbier ansiedeln. Aber alles gut - das Zusammenspiel der Aromen passt, man hat eine runde Sache vor sich und dieses Bier lässt sich auch sehr gut trinken. Im Nachtrunk schwingen malzige Noten von Brotkruste und dunklem Karamel kurz nach, fallen aber relativ schnell ab und eine sehr zart trocken-heuige Hopfenaromatik mit leichtem Brotcharakter kommt auf.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is brown malt, caramel, nutty notes, lightly buttery, hint of tobacco. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium body. Lacks the roast of a good Schwarzbier, that being said this is not bad.

Bottle from the discount shelf at Westhill Service Station. It pours clear deep brown with a lasting, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is earthy, woody, pencil shavings, malt loaf, chocolate bourbon biscuits, spent coffee grounds and some nuttiness. The taste is firmly dry, some bitterness, earthy, gravel, dry wood, nuttiness, cacao beans, instant coffee, tobacco, toasted spice and leather with a very drying, earthy finish. Average body and carbonation. Not as drinkable as it should be, too drying and earthy. Overall not bad.

Bottle.Brown colour with medium head.Aroma is sweet with flavor of brown sugar and malt feels sweet with odd taste unbalanced and bready finish.

Clear dark brown colour, white creamy foam. Nose of roasted malts, caramel, some sweet malty notes, dark chocolate, light diacetyl.

Bottle, 500 ml at Ambasada. Black with medium beige head. Malty, caramel, bready, some coffee, sweet and somewhat thin.

Flaska från Bierothek. Mahognyfärgad klar vätska med lågt skum. Mjöligt bröd, mjukt kaffe, lite choklad men mest fokus på bröd och säd. Relativt torr. Trevlig

Bottled 500ml. -from Ambasada Zagreb. Black coloured, medium sized off-white head, caramel in the nose. Weak roasted malt, subdued coffee, and some sugary notes with bready touch in the finish. Bit watery as well.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of butter, diacetyl, bad, quite some caramel, very malty, grains, meh. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty, pretty bitter, some caramel, a hint of diacetyl, more malts. Aftertaste: bitter, gentle roast, could use a bit more roast for that real Schwarzbier character. Aftertaste: a little bitter, caramel, malty, diacetyl, ok but not great.
