355ml can. Minimally cloudy, orange, golden colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly zesty, citrusy fruity, minimally floral and piney, hoppy aroma, slightly biscuity, pale malty background, hints of grapefruit, a touch of lemon, grapefruit rind, minimally doughy yeasty overtones with a touch of brioche. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally biscuity, pale malty, mildly bitter, citrusy fruity, slightly floral and minimally piney hoppy, hints of pink grapefruit, lemon, some grapefruit rind, mild zesty bitterness, a touch of brioche.
Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Nice body, nice zesty bitterness - decent.

Aroma of malts, citrus, pine, grapefruit, aromatic hops. Flavour is malts and hops, with a moderate bitterness in the finish. Pretty good, enjoyed this refreshing session ale.

Bottle. Golden color. Floral notes and hints of soft fruit in the aroma. Herbal hopbitter flavor, with licorice and soft fruity notes. Not too outspoken hopbitterness. Drinkable.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een goudgeel bier met een stevig wit schuim. Het aroma is moutig en hoppig. De smaak is hoppig en fruitig met hints van citrus.

Hazy amber with a few particles on the bottom of the glass. About one finger of white head, ok lacing and some retention. Smells of biscuity malts with slight caramel, delicate citrus and some piney/resinous hops. Reasonably intense. Taste has a sweet malts base of biscuits and caramel, a kind of soft citric feel and a finish that shows piney hoppy notes despite being actually balanced in terms of sweetness/bitterness. Overall i would say medium to high sweet and medium bitter. Perhaps not super-clean and vivid, slightly chewy. Light bodied with average carbonation, goes down smooth and easy. Overall surely ok but it felt a little tired. Bbf says december 2018, so i suppose it was bottled on december 2017, which as fresh as you can get it here. Possibly not treated the best way.

From Aug 2007
I got this one in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks, John!
This pours from 12oz bottle a hazy light gold with a huge head of foam that shrinks but stays for the entire session as a good 1/4" layer and there's plenty of lacing.
The smell is dominated by citrusy hops with a small side order of malt and, oh, there's a fruity bit that I'm just picking up.Kind of reminds me of fresh plums. It's pretty darned nice.
The taste is *very* tasty. The first thing I note is an abundance of citrus with a dash of grass and a more than ample malt character that gives this Ale really good balance. Good stuff! After each sip and swallow, I smack my mouth because the finish actually ends up on a sweetish note...I love how AV makes this beer so smooth and tasty and so bloody well balanced. I could put a few of these away with no problem at all. Very drinkable and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it!

Old rating. Light pine and resin, some faint citrusy hops. Malty and sweet, kind of thin on the palate. Bitter finish. Simple and forgettable.
