Easy drinking because of its deceptive character and darkness of colour, with an underlying smoothness that enables it to penetrate and deliver its potion in the most satisfying of ways, malt and hops personified...

Cask at the Fishermans Cottage, IoW during the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours clear, amber-gold with a light, white foam head. Simple toasty grains in the nose with suggestions of light orangey hops. Light-medium sweet flavor with mellow bitterness, earth, leaves, grains. Light bodied with fine carbonation. More grainy bread on the finish, faint dried berries and leafy bitterness. So so.
