Fairly thin, a bit sweet, boozy. Lightly roasted coffee, chocolate, malty, smooth. Pretty oldschool ris, far less sweet and velvety as the 2015. Pretty nice though.

2018 Silver wax. Black and oily. Thick texture. Aroma and flavour of dark roasted malts. Also the sweetness of honey and some delicate floral notes too.

Geprobeerd op de Addictee2craftBeer Bottle Share! Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een dun laagje beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van pruimen en koffie. De smaak is vol, warm, alcohol achtig, chocolade en pruimen en rook.

Fairly thick, sweet, boozy. Roasty coffee, malty caramel and dark chocolate, a bit bready. Luckily no soy sauce, actually damn smooth and tasty. Very nice.

I have held onto this 22 oz bottle of Dark Lord for three years, the time since it was given to me by a good friend from Chicago. 2013 vintage, orange wax, I peel that off and remove the lid. The pour into my Great Heights snifter is black, just black, no other way to call it, along with a minimal touch of tan foam, quickly gone. The nose is as good as anticipated, dark chocolate, grain, cane syrup and dark plums. I lift the glass for a drink, all I had hoped for also. Chocolate fudge, black raisins, malt, brown sugar, vanilla and maybe a bit of honey taste and sweetness. Very tasty. Shared with my wife and daughter, much enjoyed by all. It was well worth the wait, I am a little sad it will be gone shortly.

Bottle courtesy of Virby44. Cheers! 2018 vintage. Dark, dark brown with a light brown head. Decadent aroma: prunes, raisins, burnt grains. The vanilla is there and the coffee too, but the actual additives are very restrained. Taste is mildly sweet. Finishes dry with a light warmth. Full bodied, mild carbonation, extremely smooth. A pastry stout that’s not an oversweet mess. Very good!
