On tap at The Commons, pours a deep dark reddish brown / black with a small white head. Aroma is fairly restrained, with dark berries and earthy notes. Flavour is potent, with loads of sweet boysenberries upfront, followed by earthy notes and some rather prominent alcoholic notes. Woody and sweet berry-dominated on the finish. Excellent stuff.

On tap at the Brewpub. Dark brown with a small head. Fairly light with light roasted notes, some berries and yeast. An ok one.

Draft pour pint at Special Brews. Pours a near black with a foam ring head. Grape fruity, aroma, with a dry malt and dark fruit flavor that lingers. I get so much grape here. Weird, but oddly satisfying. Dusty, cool finish. Different than the usual beer. Tasty stuff.

Capped 750 shared by Marcus. Pours slightly ruddy brown with a tan head. Light berry aroma. Med + body. Flavor is dark malt, smooth and light sweet, with some berry that has to be Boysenberry. A bit of earthy chocolate develops to hilite the berry. Very nice.

750 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with purple hints and moderate foamy head. Aromas of blueberries, salal, dark milk chocolate, and sweet dark malts. Flavors of dark fruity chocolate with a light tartness and creamy mouthfeel. A perfect balance of sour and sweet, fruity and malty.

750 ml bottle. Pours a very dark purple brown color with a medium white head. A big yeasty, fruity nose. The flavor is lovely; big Belgian sweetness, chocolate, robust fruit. The berries work perfectly with the heavier stout elements which remain quite light overall somehow despite the ABV. Awesome well made beer.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a cloudy copper with small beige head. The aroma is belgian yeast and sugar malts. Medium mouth with sugary malt, belgian yeast, very light fruit, good.

Draft. 2013 Vintage. Dark brown-black beer. Light chocolate and light dark fruit aroma. Boysenberry and light chocolate flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. Boysenberry and light cocoa lingers with light malt. Something about this beer clashes in the flavors.
