Our legendary batch #1000! A blonde Flemish Sour Ale, brewed with our wild house yeast strain 'Morpheus'. The beer was boiled for over 6 hours and later aged for 6 months on 225l St-Emilion barrels made from American Oak. As finishing touch we let a part of the beer macerate on Apricots for 2 months.

Dark reddish brown with a nice head disappearing fast. Aroma is similar to the plain Batch #1000, great complex sour aromas. The stone fruit apricot flavor just comes as a back-beat behind the complex oaky/wine flavor. It's fantastic but a bit less complex and less intense than the original beer. Really tasty.

Hazy amber. Aroma is apricot funk leather caramel. Very balanced. Taste is sour fruity with light sweetish wood sugars. Balanced. Good.

Bottle. Fluffy mountain apricot skin aroma with underlying tart aroma. Deep red amber, low offwhite head. Sweet apricot with leather and balsamic hiding below - the flavors of the original are lost a bit. Sparkly, tart balsamic lemonade. A little bit one-note to be honest.

Bottle. Unclear amber color with white head. Aroma is intense apricot jam, hard to get behind the apricot, not much of the barrel there. Taste is apricot jam, grapey, white wine, there we go, a touch tobacco, apricot jam in the finish, also some tannins, well-integrated tartness. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Amazingly apricot, but it's hard to get to the complex flavours because it is so jammy.
