Deep amber pour, BIg sweet caramel malt nose, very little hops. Flavor was full bodied, and again quite big on the sweet caramel malts. Touches of english hops in the finish, but nothing much else.

Modest brown-copper body with a bit of foam. Very soft caramel aroma. Flavour is mellow caramel with soft brown sugar hints, sweet finish, neither here nor there and simply okay.

On tap. Pours a reddish amber with moderate head. Aromas of light caramel and sweet malts with a hint of dried fruit. Flavors of toast sweet toasted malts. Maybe some grassy hops. Full and pretty simple but easy to drink.

Draft - Grains with malt backbone. Malty with some cereal. Amber with a thin head. Refreshing and decent. Update - Grainy with some esters. Not as good as before which is saying very little.

Cask at The Irish Heather, Vancouver
fresh cask
Cloudy red amber color; nitro-like head, creamy; too cold. The aroma is mild but interesting: malt, yeast fruitness, pepper, light manure. Also the flavor is quite light, with earthy caramel and a pepper touch; but the bitterness is just a bit too much; the final is light, quite British, there is also a very light fruit touch, but a bit dusty and dry too. It was a good idea to propose this beer on cask.

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks David C. Hazy deep orange. Aroma of pine needles, a bit of flowers and some cookie-ish/caramelly malt notes. Bitter flavor with piney hops and some unpleasant graininess. Medium-bodied.

Pours a dark copper. Aroma of honey, balance of malts and hops. Flavour of caramel malt, spice and hops on the finish. Drinkable.

At a tasting, small head, hazy dark peachy plummy orange colour, aromas of red fruits, honey and a touch of manure, flavours of melon and some grapefruit and a hint of soapiness, nice medium bitterness. Nice pale ale.

Bottle from BC Liquor store. Amber/red colour with thin head. Moderate grapefruit hoppiness throughout. I quite like the malt/hop balance. Some toffee, but otherwise pretty average.

An hazy amber ale with a thin creamy white head. A sweet butterscotch in aroma, with fruity esters. In mouth, a slightly oxidized malt with light floral hops, but being redeemed by some nice raisiny notes. Medium bodied. Merci JM.
