Our Pale Ale is reminiscent of a classic American Pale Ale, offering a bold hop character and rich caramel and grapefruit notes, with a clean yet distinctly hoppy finish.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a clear copper color with a fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grainy, caramel malts, nutty notes and metallic hops. The taste is bitter hops, caramel, honey, tea and nutty notes. Medium bodied. Decent.

bottle - Pours mostly clear caramel colored with a small, lingering head and some lacing. It has a very mild aroma, sugary with a touch of caramel. The flavor has moderate hops bitterness, caramel, and sugar. It’s big weakness is the body. Quite lacking. It would have been worse without some good hops, but it’s still not all that good.

12 oz. bottle for review from Louis Glunz. It has a good, coppery pale ale color. The head is more bubbly and fizzy than most beers, which I’ll put up to its "grain" bill and vegan fining. I really cannot agree with anyone else that the smell is bad. It has some hops to it, which can make up for a lot of other faults. There is the slight sourness that I have found in other gluten-free beers, which becomes more pronounced as the glass warms up. Still there are hops putting up a front. The beer’s website mentions on citrusy hops, so that may be contributing to the slightly cidery sourness. Since I’m supposed to be watching a different condition, blood sugar, it’s interesting to see the standard ingredient label which shows this has no carbs from sugar (I know, the carbs from alcohol can be just as much a problem), But I do think I could manage with this if I had to (boy, is that damning with faint praise).

Bottle. Pours clear amber/copper with a medium off-white head that leaves decent lacing. Interesting aroma of citrus and perhaps metal. Flavor is different, but not bad - citrus, molasses, sorghum, definite spiciness. Mildly bitter, floral finish. Aftertaste is a bit odd

Rotten garbage - now with hops! Another pile of crap in this brewery lineup bit at least the hops disguised what was beneath. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a huge soapy orange-tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was faint floral, piney and herbal hops with light cracker underneath. The flavor was dry and grainy with notes of cracker, mint, garbage and herbal and floral hops. The finish was long, grainy, medicinal, and had lingering mint and hops. Disgusting.

No aroma. Clear orange, no head. Cardboard on the palate. Watery. Macro-ish.

Looks like a darker lager, you know, yuengling er sumthin. Has the sweet smell of a stronger pale ale. Yes, very ale ish and does come across like many craft normal beers. however, weird sharp thing happens on the buds after every slug, like bandaids er sumthin. Quite strong bitter almost gag thing builds. Wierd sharp hoppy thing in here. May appeal to some ipa or strong apa lovers. Specialty grain, eh?

Bottle from Ledgers. Pours clear copper with very little head. Aromas of citrus and yeast. Med body. Flavor is quite odd, suggesting metal, brown sugar and a little citrus. Maybe treacle. Would take getting used to.
