This one smells of oak, vanilla, coffee, yeast esters, and malt. The flavor is sweet and malty. There’s dark fruit, coffee, oak, malt, and alcohol. Quite enjoyable.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear brown with a slight tan head. Aroma is strongly coffee. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is coffee, banana, yeast spice and kandy. Dark malt too. The banana yeast\spice was a first impression rather quickly oerwhelmed by the coffee. Vanilla is very hard to find until the coffee wears away. Impressive ale.

Tavour: pours mahogany with beige head. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, dark fruit, yeast. Taste is subtle coffee, light vanilla, large malt. Lacks the depth and complexity of the best quads, but is a pleasant drink.

Can - purchased in Indy and consumed in my hotel room - dark purple pour - vanilla and coffee are fairly prominent, but the caramelized maltiness is still fairly center - however, I’m not getting a lot of Belgian character - you could tell me this was a coffee vanilla doppelbock and I would believe you - not that that makes it bad, was just hoping for more defined Belgian character.

12 oz can. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, smoke. Pours dark brown with a collapsing beige head. Taste is sweet with flavors of coffee, vanilla, chocolate, roast, booze, raisin, licorice. Good, but I was hoping for more.

Draft. Vanilla, strawberry, light coffee, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Chestnut brown with moderate head. Very sweet coffee, vanilla caramel malt, and moderately bitter hay flavor. Excellent body and balance. Excellent beer.

Pours a black from a bottle. Nice burnt sugar aroma, along with a hint of coffee. Very little coffee in the flavor though, mostly the same burnt sugar along with a dark fruit jamminess. Pretty good beer.
