Get sprung this spring with this funky monkey of a wheat ale. A big stash of Lemondrop hops were added to the kettle and the dry hop, delivering a big citrus blast. Lemongrass herbs were added for a refreshing twist and exotic aroma. The light malt bill lets the piney, grassy, lemony notes shine. Light in body with bright citrus notes, this is an extremely complex but very easy drinking brew.

On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Pours a hazy gold with medium white head. The aroma is citrus and floral. Medium body, lemon zest, wheat light dry finish, good.

12oz. OK, it is a cool idea to do Lemondrop hops with Lemongrass. Unfortunately it is never a good idea to add lemongrass to beer. Comes off artificial, odd. Sort of a White IPA at the end of the day, and not the most inspired one. Mediocre stuff.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a murky pale gold, with a creamy one-finger off-white head. Lemongrass aroma. Taste begins with wheat, lemon, hops, while the finish tastes more like Sprite. Ok.

Very hazy golden and light straw coloured body with a nice, thickish three centimetre tall pure white head, rather soapy, though. Aroma of fresh wheat, light hops, some floral and herbal notes and a bit of a soap and slight lemongrass scent noticeable. Light-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a distinct lemongrass flavour at first that is herbaceous with a bit of a bite near the end showing some sliced ginger as well along with a very dry and grassy finish that shows a lot of dry characteristics. Aftertaste is mellow and very dry with the light hops coming through then ending with the lemongrass flavour and a touch of yeast as well. Overall, a nice and super dry beer that shows some good flavours and a smooth easy-drinking character for warm days. Nice to try and recommended to anyone who wants the above, but not necessarily recommended for the ’big beer’ drinkers who want tons of flavour and pungency throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop in Arlington (20th Street Location), Virginia on 22-February-2017 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington a few blocks away on 01-May-2017.

Bottle: Cloudy amber with floaties and a small, off-white head. Wheat, lemon scent. Taste is slightly bitter, lemon-peel, wheat malt. Herbal/grassy hop bittering. Not bad......mild spicing at the finish.

Bottle. Lime/lemon, biscuit malt, and grass aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Moderately sweet lime/lemon, biscuit malt and mildly bitter lemon peel/grass flavor. Okay body. Light but pleasant.
