Get sprung this spring with this funky monkey of a wheat ale. A big stash of Lemondrop hops were added to the kettle and the dry hop, delivering a big citrus blast. Lemongrass herbs were added for a refreshing twist and exotic aroma. The light malt bill lets the piney, grassy, lemony notes shine. Light in body with bright citrus notes, this is an extremely complex but very easy drinking brew.

Pine Box Rock Shop, Brooklyn tap: pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is light lemon, wheat, and vague hops. Taste is pretty light. Wheaty. Light bitterness and hoppiness. Some soapiness and lemon.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark copper-peach color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet and yeasty with an orange juice element. The flavor was sweet orange juice, yeast and a touch of mustiness. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Nicely quaffable.

Bottle. Clear gold with a tall white ehad. The aroma is doughy yest and citrusy lemon. The flavor is lightly bitter, citrusy with a nice dry finish. Not like most wheat beers.

Bottle, Rio Hill Kroger. Chunky golden with a small white head. Nice aroma of pine and lemongrass. Flavor is lemongrass, pine, citrus peel, grass, green leaves. Not bad!

Gumball and toejam nose, not strong. Cloudy amber, full of fine floaties, medium head, minimal lace. Pronounced honey, wheat, and lemongrass. Gumball on the back end. Light body, moderate carbonation. Good flavor, refreshing, great balance and complexity.

On tap. Hazy nice orange with big white head. Aroma is grassy hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and a little lacing. Taste is grassy hops, citrus hops, and bitter finish.

Cloudy gold color with a large white head and great retention. Good lacing. Smooth and sweet wheat ale body with a soft hop taste. Not bitter. Enjoyable.

Whole lotta hubbub in the description for what tastes like a fairly run-of-the-mill Wheat Ale. Lemondrop hops and lemongrass give it a pleasant citric heart, and the bananas and cloves pop up in the middle, yet the finish feels weak, a bland mix of bitter hops and watered-down hefe notes. Eh.
