It’s not unusual to see pronouncements of “I Heart Hops,” “I Heart Chocolate” or “I Heart Coffee” throughout #socialmedia, printed on T-shirts and, natch, emblazoned on coffee cups. Over the past couple of decades we have helped add “I Freaking Heart IPAs” to that lexicon. Today, passionate people can’t imagine a world without all of the above. For this special edition, we added chocolate and coffee to make this devastatingly fresh IPA even more seductive to the palate. We humbly suggest that you use this libation to proclaim your love for someone... and we suggest that someone be you. Loving yourself is exactly what this libation is all about. Love now; remember forever.
The best of both worlds! A hoppy beer that also has nice coffee and chocolate components. These aroma and flavors blend together nicely to create something unique in the Stone Enjoy By IPA series. Still a hop-lovers dream with the added bonus of a cup of coffee and a bite of chocolate. Perfect to share with someone special leading up to or on Valentine’s Day—or enjoy it for yourself!

Bottle to tulip. Pours a clear orange-copper with white head that quickly fades to a ring and wisps across the top. This is rather interesting in that everything is very subtle....and that may be the first time I have ever said that about a Stone beer. The aroma is slight tangerine and tropical fruit. The coffee and chocolate are very, very muted. That may be best when you go for this style. Moderate biscuit started to show later in the pour. Flavor is a bit chalky or dusted chocolate. I got more of the coffee on this in the flavor, but it is also in the background. There is an astringency that lingers very late and stays with the mouthfeel. Odd, but not too bad.

Bottle: Amber-orange with a small beige head. Sugared coffee....pine aroma. Taste is resiny, grapefruit, bitter coffee, cocoa. Very dry feeling. Odd.....but interesting. Not bad.

Bottle 2-14-2017. Poured a slightly hazy orange color with a pretty large white head. Aroma was light herbal and resin notes - not overly powerful though. Some grassy notes. I had a cup of coffee about an hour prior to drinking this, and I really didn’t detect much coffee here - a touch disappointing in that regard. The same can be said about the chocolate too. All around fine beer, but lacking in the additions that are supposed to sell this one.
Not a lot of coffee or chocolate. Disappointing.
Chocolate and coffee come on strong, though, then the ipa takes command the rest of the way. It's huge people!
