Very dark brown, small offwhite head. Roasted, jammy aroma. Sweet roasted flavour, mild hoppy bitterness.

Dark brown to auburn with a frothy, off-white head of modest duration. Chocolate candy bar aroma with grainy notes underneath. Taste is mildly bitter over a malty sweet base. A burnt bitterness carries the finish. Medium bodied, mild to moderate carbonation, watery texture. Fairly simple in the end. Not bad.

deep dar brown colour with some reddish notes, moderate sized creamy beige-ish head; aroma of (heavy)roasted nuts and sunflower seeds, (over)toasted rye bread and slight prune notes; taste of burnt bitterness with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; not bad at all

[Basel 2018] 330 ml. split by two outside of the brewery, drank from the bottle. Higher carbonation, herbal malt syrup, basic malt syrup, low bitter, okay-ish also far better than the other 3 beers we tried from this brewery.

Rating from 3.3.2008: Der Geruch ist sehr schön malzig-schokoladig mit einem Hauch von Kaffeebohnen. Sehr schön weich! Der Geschmack ist wie bei allen "Unser-Bier"-Bieren sehr schön weich und samtig. Es zeigen sich schöne Röstmalzaromen, Kaffee, dunkle Schokolade. Im Nachgeschmack kommt dazu eine abgewogene und nicht aufdringliche Herbe, die aber deutlich spürbar ist. Der Nachgeschmack insgesamt ist langanhaltend und von dieser deutlich-herben Note geprägt. Aber auch kaffee-ähnliche Röstmalzaromen gesellen sich mit "weicher Schokolade" dazu. Es ist insgesamt ein sehr schönes samtiges Bier, das aber für meinen Geschmack einen Tick zu herb ist. Je mehr man aber davon trinkt, umso "weniger-herb" wird es! Sehr zu empfehlen!! --> 12

Bottle, 5%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is light roasted malt, chocolate and hop. Flavour is light roasted malt, medium sweet, chocolate, hop, little liquorice and a little bitter.
