Butte Creek Organic Pale Ale is coppery golden in color with a frothy white head. The initial flavor feel that arrests the senses are a result of the lavish use of organic Pale, Caramel-60, Carapils, and Wheat malts that are used to provide that slightly bread flavor and give the beer its unique full body and creamy mouth feel. After experiencing the malt, one becomes aware of the robust hop presence brought about by the use of Organic New Zealand Pacific Gem, Cascade, and Wakatu hops.

While that may be enough for some it isn’t for us! To create a crescendo of taste we dry hop once again with even more Organic Cascade hops to give this Organic Pale Ale its delightful fragrant aroma and the well balanced taste it is renowned for. This pale Ale is a delight that can be repeatedly relished. 5.5% ABV, OG 13.5, IBU 33.

Golden-amber colour. Bright, with a rich head. Some leafy hop nose. Some iodine as well. There’s a fair bit of bitterness, but it carries some asringency, like bitter melon. Woody finish typical of organic hops.

Nice aroma of grapefruit and caramel. Amber color. Minimal white head. Thin to medium body with almost chewy carbonation. Starts with caramel or better, and is quickly balanced with that grapefruit hop. At the finish there’s a short burst of kiwi fruit. Then it’s dry and persistingly and pleasantly bitter. Could pass for an IPA.
