500 ml bottle. Pours dirty bright brown, small head, not long lasting. Aroma is musty like it matured in a old moist cellar. Bread, grain. Mild taste, slightly sweet and even less bitter. Süffig. Soft to low carbonated. Creamy texture, full body. Nice authentical Zwickel.

Light sourish nose. Clear deep golden colour, lot of activity in the glass, tall rocky white head, very good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma grain, light citrus, yeast, floral hops, grass, buttermilk, barnyard. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grainy, light hops, touch of lemon. Rather flat sweetbitter aftertaste, light fruit, peppery notes, light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Very pleasant Zwickel, well-balanced and tasty.

0.5 l bottle from ’P&M Getränke’, best before August 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, malty and slightly floral aroma of honey, caramel and hints of vanilla. Sweetish-malty, slightly floral and a little grassy taste of honey, vanilla, some caramel, traces of straw and hints of butter, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent Lager!

Hazy yellow with minimal white head. Aroma is grass, flour, a little of light fruits, very balanced. Taste is little fresh sourness and some buttery sweetness. Also some malts. Not quite enough tartness for me. Little carbonation, quite smooth. I like it.

Bottle, thanks jonas! Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is caramely, bready, yeasty, nutty, a bit straw. Taste is caramel, malty, bready yeasts, a bit nutty, a bit herbal, a hint of booze. Quite chewy for this ABV. Silky mouthfeel. Lecker and underrated, if you ask me.
