Das Starke unter den Weissbieren. Rotgold leuchtend – mit Hefe und Kohlensäure fein abgestimmt. Überzeugend durch seine kräftige Frische.

Flasch’n (Ottos Mops kotzt...):Hazy, deep golden with an orangey sheen, quite quickly collapsing loose white head;moderately sweet nose of bananas and sweet (wheat-)malt, some shy cloves in the background; solid sweet flavour, almost cloying, a very mild acidity is barely detectable, full bodied; lingering sweet wheaty-fruity finish with a very delicate tartness in the aftertaste. Too simple, too sweet, too monotonous...

Murky yellow without head. Aroma is banana, alcohol, bubblegum soap, espargus. Not very convincing. Taste is not better. Booze and some typical weizen stuff. In my opinion not worth buying. 2.3 Rerate: Seems to have improved a lot. Banana with green stuff in the aroma. Some starch with more green stuff on the tongue. Quite drinkable. Ok.

(bottle) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a loose and medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly sour wheaty and mildly juicy malty aroma with hints of banana, band aid and other phenolic spices like cloves. Sweet and delicately sour flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Moderately wheaty and delicately cara-malty base with notes of banana and clovy spice; sweet and mildly fruity finish with a tinge of acidity and a present alcoholic touch. Not one of my favourite Weizenbocks. 18.III.16

*Old rating. Best before 09.06.

9/8/11/8/10/8

Gushing to huge white head, over orange-golden beer. End of bottle solid yeast. Sugar, syrup, corn syrup, malt syrup. Oh, and some alcohol. Oxydized wheat, light (wheat)sourishness, much less sweet than the nose suggested. Slick to oily, some light alcoholburn. Bottle a tad too old, hence maybe the oxydation - pity.
