The first thing that strikes you about the alcohol-free weissbier is its honey-to-amber colour, while its yeast turbidity is strong and yet finely structured. The multifaceted aroma is a delight, with fruit aromas including banana combined with a clove fragrance. As a drink, Andechs Alcohol-Free is very lively and highly refreshing with a satisfyingly full and elegant body. On the finish, it combines a light sweetness and fruity acidity with the distinct and yet pleasantly bitter flavour of hops, ending on a harmonious aftertaste. An alcohol-free thirst-quencher with the typical Andechs weissbier flavour: a fine yeast component, pleasantly tangy and sparkling in a way that makes you thirsty for more (original wort content: 12.5 percent by weight; alcohol content: under 0.5 percent by volume).

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy deep golden, rich creamy head. Gentle phenolic banana and clove aroma. Mid sweet with light to medium body and soft mouthfeel. White bread and cloves. Low bitterness. Very gentle, very harmonious. Almost can't believe this is de-alcoholized.

Pours fairly clear, slightly darker blonde. Huge white head. Scent is banana heavy, medium clove . Taste is bit bitter. Candy bubblegum banana, cloves very hidden. Medium light to light body, medium high carbo.

Hazy orange colour, small white creamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is wheat, some yeast, citrus and mild toasted tones. Flavour is wheat, some grains, mild herbal and some citrus tones with mild yeasty elements too.

Bottle shared at work. Pours gold colour with white head. Nose is sweet grains, no trace of the esters of the original (oh btw had this side-by-side with the original hefe). Taste is decent malty, bread and hay show, even some bitterness as well. The body on this is surprisingly decent, this is perhaps the only aspect that suggest there’s wheat in it. Closes with sweet malty finish, has light body and average carbo. Fortunately it doesnt have that classic empty NA body (it’s not that bad at least) and surprisingly decent for a non alcoholic beer, even though it lacks almost every hefeweizen characteristics.

Aroma is musty with cardboard. Flavour has minerals, banana esthers and cloves. Quite good for a NA weisse.

070824. Golden color with a white head. Aroma is orange, cloves, wheat. Flavor is oranges, cloves, wheat, wort, malt, caramel, banana.

Bottle from the Wine Society and drank it tonight because I've had a heavy few days. Good pour, nice colour in the glass. Some aroma you would expect from a weisse and the flavour. It's not a proper weisse, but it's AF so it never will be. But it's good and I will have more.

Bottle. A creamy, finger-thick off-white head forms on top of an unclear golden colored body. The aroma has some wort, with caramel, banana and clove hints. It's medium bodied and appropriately carbonated, with a bit more bitterness than sweetness. Far from cloying though. Caramel, bread, banana, cloves and a piney, grassy touch in the flavor. Medium length finish, with a metallic touch in the very end. Sure a decent alcohol free weissbier. 240807

Light copper colour, slightly hazy, full head. Hay and banana aroma. Faint taste following the aroma.
