Redhook Game Changer Ale is a sessionable ale with rich color to distinguish it as craft, just enough hops to cut the spiciness of wings, and the right amount of malt to cool the burn.

On tap! Pours a clear a clear golden amber with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has notes of sweet grain and straw with a bit grass underlying. Flavor is similar with some grass up front that mellows into a finish of straw and grain.

Buttered popcorn aroma, like a movie theater. Clear amber, medium head. Corn and grass flavor. Malty, but buttery. You could do worse.

Draft. From notes. Grainy with caramel and light hops. Drinkable, but nothing to seek out.

tap - Pours light amber with a two finger white head. It has a mild aroma of grainy and caramel malt with a hint of hops. It tastes mildly bitter, less than I’d have expected, and is light bodied and watery. Let it warm up quite a bit to get some more flavor out of it. Caramel begins to come through. It’s not that it’s bad, but it’s not good either. It’s a bland pseudo-craft beer like I’d expect A-B to sell.
