Bottle at Spezial Keller, pours a hazy dark copper with a large white head. Aroma has a lot of clove, caramelized banana peel, and bready notes. Flavour is very similar, with tons of caramelized banana peel, a touch of clove, bready malt, and more sweet caramelized banana to finish. Different than typical hefs with all that caramelized banana and more residual sweetness. Good but still ain’t my style.

Draft, pours a cloudy yellowish brown. Lots of white head. Smoke/hops/bitterness is the taste along with regular weissbeer taste.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is wheat malt, spicy yeast, subtle smoked notes, mild clove, soft fruits with a touch of banana. Flavour is moderate sweet and lightly bitter. Medium bodied. Solid Hefe with great balance and smoothness, the subtle smoke works well. Good!

Bottle at Spezial. Cloudy amber orange chocolate. Ashy banana, metallic, spice. Soft fluffy and full mouthfeel. Crunchy. Soft banana milkshake, cloudy clove and spice. I like this.

Clear to slightly cloudy orange beer, creamy dense solid white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: gentle smoky touch, quite some banana, bubble gum, sweet impression, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, malty start, some caramel, banana, a hint of vanilla, gentle smoky touch in there with a good bitterness. Aftertaste: banana, a bit yeasty, hoppy, malty, grains, more hints of smoke, dry bitter finish, lovely!

Trübe orange gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, rauchiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, rauchig, fruchtig mit Steinobst. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy orange with a small foamy head. Light smoke, banana, lemon zest, stone fruit, grapefruit zest, some clove. Dry mild bitterness, fruity sweetness, umami. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty smoky fruity finish. Excellent Weizen!

Optisch einwandfrei, in der Nase dezent Rauch. Im Trunk dann im Vergleich zum Schlenkerla recht zurückhaltend, kaum Rauch. Für Raucheinsteiger quasi.
