Free sample from a bewildered Miller rep. at a local grocery store. Haha. Trying to sell Miller in Oregon next to shelves of awesome local options. Anyway, I’ll tick it. Pours a dark copper yellow color, clear, with a large white head. A sweet toasted malt nose. Fluffy palate which is nice, grains, rice, a bit of caramel. OK beer.

Sampled from a 12 oz black bottle this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was malty, corny, tangy and had notes of cola and faint fruits. The flavor was tangy cola, a hint of fruit and a bit of caramel. Light to medium body. Blah.

Don't need to be a fortune teller to know this would be awful.

12 ounce bottle from Wegman’s Leesburg. Pours a clear copper color with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of caramel malts and a tart note. The taste is toasted caramel malts. Thin bodied, simple, too sweet, lacks complexity. Meh.

Bottle: Pours clear amber, with a thin, off-white head. Fruit/berry aroma...sweet grain. Sweet fruit, apple malt, a hint of fruit cocktail cherries.... Drinks much lighter than the ABV would suggest. A little too sweet, and it’s a stretch placing it within style...I agree with the opinion that it’s more of a pretty good malt liquor...Truly not too bad overall. A great deal better than Miller’s regular line-up...

12 oz bottle. Aroma is doughy, generic beer, slightly fruity. Pours clear copper with a collapsing off-white head. Taste is sweet with little bitterness; finishes a little dry. A little fusel-ish, a bit vomity. Thin bodied, watery. More interesting than most Miller beers, but still not very good. More like a malt liquor than a Vienna. I always give AB/InBev crap for ripping off everyone’s ideas, but here’s Miller copying Black Crown. Pathetic.
