Schöne gelbe, sehr trübe Farbe. Cremiger Schaum. Sieht schon mal sehr gut aus. Zitroniger Geruch. Aromatische Zitronenschale und etwas -saft finden sich auch beim Trinken. Trockenes Getreide und hefige Noten ergänzen. Hopfung für ein bayerisches Helles im Mediumbereich. Wenig Kohlensäure. Weiches, volles Mundgefühl. Richtig gutes Zwicklbier. Aufgrund seiner Eigenschaften fast schon eine Alternative zu einem Weißbier.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Hazy pale golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Lemonade-like aroma, pale malt, citrus, grain, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, citrus, grass. Light body, watery to sticky texture, soft carbonation, okay.

A touch cloudy golden with a white head. Light lemon, a bit of grain, some toasted malt. Medium bodied. It’s decent if forgettable.

50cl Fles bij Ambach am See. Mistiggouden kleur, witte kraag. Geur is enorm zwavelig, ei, hint van citrus, stinkt en doet me denken aan Tsjechische lagers. Smaak is zacht, licht hoppig, citroenschil, moutig, hint van zwavel, zachtbittere finish. Iets te hard in koolzuur. Jammer van de geur.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is crisp grassy noble hop with grainy malts, bread, some cereal and a touch of lemon. Slightly sourish with a light bitterness. Medium body. Nice.

Bottle 0,5 ltr: Hazy yellow coloured brew with an light sweet bitter taste with hints of caramel and some lemon.

Bier des Monats, bottle at Gasthof zum Sonnewald Schöfweg Sunday 6th July 2025, cannot believe that I've not rated this before. Anyway onto the rating, it's a solid Helles, despite being unfiltered it's actually quite clear *however perhaps if I had been given a larger glass and been able to pour it in one go then perhaps it would be a little cloudy. Fruity, reasonable bite, a little bit of hoppiness, refreshing, quite nice. Just poured the rest of the beer into the glass and yes there is a little haziness.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is some wet dough malt with some candi sugar. Flavor is a little malt with a spicy hop but a real thin mouthfeel for such a cloudy beer. This best thing about this beer is the hops.

Leicht trübe strohgelbe Farbe, gemischtporige mäßig stabile Schaumkrone; in der Nase frisch, fruchtig-hopfig, leicht blumig und zitrusfruchtig; im Geschmack getreidig-hellmalzig, dezent-fruchtiger Hopfen, milde aber spürbare Bittere, trocken mit nur ganz leichter Süße, relativ viel Kohlensäure, schlanker Körper. Gut gemacht, für meinen Geschmack vielleicht etwas zu sprudelig.
