The Bavarian brewers have been masters in their trade for centuries and therefore also brew excellent pils beers. Indeed it was a Bavarian master brewer that brewed the first beer according to the pilsner method in the town of Pilsen! The glimmering, light-yellow Ayinger Bairisch Pils has the fragrance of aromatic hops from the “Hallertau” region of Bavaria (only these are used in the Ayinger beer specialties!). The beer is highly fermented and therefore smooth on the initial taste sensation, but also mild and sparkling in body. Our pils is accentuated by the floweriness of the hops aroma and has a more pronounced bitterness on swallowing, which quickly fades from the taste buds.

Best before 05/25, opening this bottle two days ago, at home, buying this bottle directly at the brewery in october 2025. This beer is good, one of my classic, on the German way, perfect with a bourguignonne fondue, dry, smooth and bitter.

Bottle: pours gold with white head. Aroma is lightly floral, slight grass, bread. Taste is lightly sweet, light bitterness. Fairly smooth. Fine.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Grassy aroma. Faint metallic. Bitter throughout. Crisp finish. Medium-bodied, prickly carbonation. Simple. Decent.

Botle - pours golden yellow. Now this is a strange tasting pils, with some actual flavor, hoppy and grassy. Not my favorite but interesting.

Lys gul klar med hvitt skum, lukter lyst brød og kjeller. Lett. Smaker lyst brød og smør. Kort.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light cloudy pale gold with small white top. Aroma has hint of bread, grass, earthy hop, some sweetness. Taste is excellent for the style, yes very crisp with a bready and cereal light malt and a sweet floral and earthy hop. Mid bitter kick. Light bodied but far from watery and retains flavour. One of my favourite Pils to date.

330ml bottle as part of a delivery from Beers of Europe and drunk at home. Light gold, clear with an uneven smattering of white head. Little bir of grainy aroma, some lemon balm. Gentle bitterness, crisp with well-balanced hop. More lemon balm, citrus zest. Medium body with soft carbonation. My 8000th beer and 200th German.
