This Belgian-style Wit, or “white” ale, is an unfiltered wheat beer brewed with traditional ingredients and a Highland twist. Wits are conventionally brewed with noble hops, pale malt, unmalted wheat, orange peel, and coriander. We have made this beer our own by adding other unique spices to create complex aromatics, a refreshing taste, and a crisp finish. Light in color with a smooth body, Razor Wit is perfect for hot summer days and sultry summer nights.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of DrSilverworm. Thanks! Pours a cloudy yellow appearance with a white head. Extremely spicy, coriander, very zesty, basil, wheat aroma. Somewhat tart, tangy citrus peel, coriander, sweet wheat flavor. A little all over the place.

Pours clear, light gold with a puffy white head. Taste is soft floral hop bitter over nearly tart lemon/citrus. A bit watery, but offset by a fairly strong citric acid tingle.

This beer is a slightly hazed golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily. Spotty lacing. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Light body with a lightly bitter herbal hops character and notes of pale malt and citrus. The finish is short with a sweet toasted malt and spice aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Short Pump. Pours a hazy lemon yellow with a thin fizzy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big citrus and big spice notes with toasted wheat. The taste is citrus, coriander, faint ginger, wheat and toasted notes. Medium bodied, high carbonation, refreshing. Well done.

12 oz. bottle. Pours clear yellow with a small, white head. The aroma is bitter orange peel, coriander, and wheat. The flavor is fairly bitter, with subdued citrusy sweetness and a tart finish. The palate is medium, sticky, and grainy. Overall, this is a crisp and remarkably bitter witbier. An unusual example, but tasty.

Purchased at Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville, NC, enjoyed from my hotel room on my honeymoon in Savannah, GA. Appearance is a cloudy light gold with a rich and bubbly white head. Aroma of clove and orange peel, like a nice soap but I wouldn’t state its a soapy smell. Taste is similar to Hoegaarden but maybe not as potent, orange peel comes out a little more in the flavor, malt adds a bit of crispness. Not bad stuff.
