An India Pale Ale, Hair in the Mailbox is bright and hoppy at 6.3% ABV. Color is hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma blends notes of malt, honey, tropical and citrus fruits, light floral tones and lemon zest. The palate is bursting with a blend of orange and pineapple from the hops and warm notes of pine. Body is medium with soft carbonation and both sweet and spicy. Finish is both dry and bitter with light resin and biscuit notes. Easy drinking and great for pairing with burgers or other greasy foods.

15th Feb 2019, 330ml bottle: BB 29th Nov 2019. Poured into a stemmed tulip at home during one of my 'Virtual bar' tasting evenings. Golden body, white affair on top, faded too fast for me. Tropical citrus fruits dominate the aroma and taste of this fairly sweet brew. Another Mikkeller beer I have enjoyed (not always the case).

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from M&S. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. Pretty basic but drinkable enough. Medium sweet flavour, plenty of bready pale malts, ripening citrus, soft pine, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with some tangerine, ripe lemon and grapefruit, more pale bread. Again, basic but drinkable.

330ml can from Chesterfield Craft. Orange gold colour, white foam head leaving lacing and spicy orangey hoppy aroma. Taste is malt caramel with tangy spicy citrus grapefruit hop and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Probably a bit too old, so lost a lot of its hoppiness.

Can from Marks and Spencer, Leicester. Light to mid-gold with a medium white head and considerable lacing. Astringent witch hazel aroma with harsh bitter hop. I let it settle for a few moments in the glass to let it mellow, thus getting floral notes, peach tea, some resin. Taste is gentler, with bitter hop sticking to the tongue. Long finish, the bitterness fades slowly to reveal notes of tangerine peel. Not Mikkeller's best but a good supermarket beer!

Bottle @ tasting shared by TomHendriksen. Yellow to pale golden color, full sized white head. Smell and taste nicely hoppy, a bit sweetish hoppy in the flavor, only lightly bitter. Quite nice.
